FAQ
About In Harmony
In Harmony is a Movement Studio in the heart of Rainier, Oregon offering classes and workshops focused on fitness and well-being. Programming is designed to encourage movement, stress-release, self-awareness, self-care, and fun! All body types, shapes, and mobility levels are welcome as we all deserve access to tools that improve our well-being. In Harmony promotes a body and mind-positive practice and seeks to foster an environment of unity, inclusion, and encouragement.
Good question! When thinking about what kind of classes and services to bring to the
community it extended far beyond yoga into strengthening and conditioning, cardio like
kickbox and zumba, dance of all kinds, and a host of other classes and workshops (e.g.
women’s self defense; CPR basics; breathwork). At the core, it’s about creating
movement and not just with your body for exercise, but also movement and investment
of overall health, goals, self-empowerment, stress-management, mind-heart-body
connection, and so much more.
The In Harmony Studio is located at 102 E. B St.; Rainier, OR 97048. The entrance is
on the corner of 1st and B St. (Highway 30) in the front of the Bell Imaging building.
Hours follow the class schedule. Doors are open starting 30 minutes before class. You
can find the class schedule here.
Parking is available on both sides of 1st Street between B St. and C st. There is also parking in surrounding blocks.

Class and Membership Information
There are a number of classes on the whiteboard but for now we’ll be starting primarily with Hatha yoga and Cardio Kickbox for those looking for a higher-intensity workout. In Harmony is looking to connect with a variety of instructors in the coming months and classes will be added as it makes sense. A big business driver behind In Harmony is to do things in a thoughtful and meaningful way and that means taking a little time in assembling our instructor roster.
One of the goals of In Harmony is to make it accessible for people to attend classes. There is a long-term vision to be able to provide enough services to create what’s needed to allow lower costs to meet overhead. While formal pricing isn’t set at this moment the thinking is drop-in rates might range from $10-11 with class packs bringing it to the $8-10 range, and memberships down to the $7-9 per class level. There are also various discounts in consideration like eterans, seniors, and teachers. Updates will be made available as they are determined and your patience is greatly appreciate as it is all figured out. We’ll roll-out membership options in early fall once the schedule is more full and it makes more sense. Right now the focus is on one-off and class passes. Average price is $10 per class with 10 pack bringing it down to $9. The goal is to find ways to bring it lower, especially with memberships, to make it as accessible as possible while still supporting the overhead and business health. Part of this effort is a planned retail portion that will offer health and wellness products (Fall 2023); more to come on that.
We accept a variety of payments including credit and debit cards, cash, and In Harmony gift certificates. You can manage payments when booking classes and under “Billing” in your profile settings. You can choose to store a card for ease of re-booking or enter it new each time.

First, congratulations on taking the first step in feeling better! Practicing yoga regularly has been shown to provide a range of physical and mental benefits.
Yoga is an individual practice often conducted in a community environment. This means each person is focused on themselves and not others, which creates a safe space for you to focus on what you need to - you!
You can expect to find a comfortable environment with no judgment about where you are at in your fitness or flexibility journey. That’s one of the beauties of this form of exercise, it works with your body and provides a gentle way to slowly gain more mobility and strength.
Classes involve a range of standing, bending, or seated poses and moves that stretch and bring relief to tight muscles while regulating the breath and nervous system. You’ll want to bring comfortable clothes that allow you to stretch freely. Leggings or joggers and t-shirts or tank tops are good options.
If you’re new to yoga and looking to work on building flexibility and movement, then Hatha and Restorative yogas are an excellent starting point. These provide digestible introductions to poses and gentle ways to warm up the body. Both classes also benefit experienced practitioners looking for a slower paced and more focused stretch,.
For those looking to incorporate more strength training and core muscle development, Vinyasa Yoga would meet that challenge. Vinyasa can be dialed up or down depending where you’re at. Some days we’re more flexible than others, and that’s OK! The most important thing is that you showed up for you.
